Best. Task. Ever.

Best. Task. Ever.

So one of my newer clients who seems really awesome, but also very busy has just thrown a new task my way.  Seems as though as busy as she is, she would like to incorporate dating into her life.   So I am thinking, great, I can totally pick out the restaurant or add these dates to the calendar or keep track of all these men who will surely be after this self sufficient, independent business woman…I can do this.

Well, in actuality, I will actually be logging in to the dating site itself and will have to make the magic happen.  My first thought was “is this woman serious?”  Dating is hard enough, dating online, even harder and now this woman wants me to acquire dates for her?  Secretly, I was pretty pumped about this task because not only do I love people, I am fascinated with the way they work and for once, I can play the dating game, without having any emotional involvement or connection with these men.  Ironic, since that is really the same reason she is asking me to do this, she is able to disconnect herself enough so that she does not get too emotionally invested in these men.  I get it and maybe this mission is not that impossible.  My next thought was “oh no, am I supposed to pretend to be her and how the hell am I going to pull that off?”  Lucky for me, she concluded her task assignment by telling me that I am to be me, her assistant, just trying to arrange the dates.  Phew!
